To use this function, you need to install a home location by clicking on Bitmoji on the Snap map, and then “My House”. When you go and want to notify your friend when you return home, open the conversation, click on the card icon, and then the "Safety at home" button.

Your friend will receive an automatic warning in your conversation in the chat as soon as you come home.

Snapchat notes that warning can be sent only to friends with whom you will already share your location. In addition, since the exchange of location on the Snap map is turned off by default, no one can see your location or get a home safe notification if you do not decide to share it.

“Regardless of whether you return from the first date, a crowded concert or rest on the weekend, Home Safe can offer a close friend or peace of mind that you made him safely home,” Snapchat wrote in a blog post.

This new function appeared two months after Snapchat announced that Snap Map now has more than 400 million active users per month.

Snap Map, which was launched in 2017, was originally a way for users to see the locations of their friends and view public pictures from around the world. Over time, this function has developed and now offers users to find local access points and find classes.
